Privacy policy

The short version: Ground Crew doesn't collect any data. It has no analytics, no tracking, no advertising, no accounts and no server of its own. It talks to Apple's App Store Connect API, using the API key you give it, and that key never leaves your device.
What Ground Crew stores on your device
- API keys: the private key, key ID and issuer ID you add are kept in the iOS Keychain, set so they stay on this device only. They aren't included in backups or synced to iCloud.
- Settings: the names of your teams, which team you last used and your app preferences, kept in the app's own storage.
- Build bookkeeping: if you turn on notifications, the numbers of the builds Ground Crew has already seen, so it knows which ones are new.
- Downloads: artifacts you choose to download, such as logs and archives, are saved in the app's temporary storage so you can share them.
If you turn on Face ID in Ground Crew's settings, iOS checks your Face ID, Touch ID or passcode and only tells Ground Crew whether it succeeded. Ground Crew never sees your biometric data.
Who Ground Crew connects to
Ground Crew connects directly from your device to Apple. It doesn't use a relay or server of its own.
api.appstoreconnect.apple.com: to read your apps, builds and workflows, and to make the changes you ask for. Each request is signed on your device with your API key. The private key itself is never sent, and Ground Crew refuses redirects to anywhere else.- Apple's download servers: only when you download a build artifact, using the short-lived link App Store Connect gives for that file.
- Apple's image servers: to show your apps' icons, using the image links App Store Connect provides.
Links you tap, such as a commit or pull request, open in Safari or the relevant app.
Your use of App Store Connect is covered by Apple's privacy policy. Changes made through Ground Crew are made with your API key, like any other use of the App Store Connect API.
Notifications
Build notifications are created on your device. When iOS lets Ground Crew run in the background, it checks App Store Connect for finished builds and shows a local notification. There's no push notification server, and nothing about your builds is sent anywhere else.
Data we collect
None. Ground Crew has no third-party SDKs, analytics, crash reporting services or advertising. If you opt in to sharing crash reports or diagnostics with app developers in iOS Settings, Apple may share anonymised crash logs with us under Apple's privacy policy.
If you install a beta through TestFlight, Apple shares the information described in its TestFlight privacy notice, such as your name, email and any feedback you choose to send.
Deleting your data
Remove a team in Ground Crew's settings to delete its key from your device, or delete the app to remove everything it stored. Ground Crew also clears any keys left behind by an earlier install the first time it opens.
Removing a key from Ground Crew doesn't revoke it. If you no longer need it, revoke it in App Store Connect under Users and Access → Integrations → App Store Connect API.

Ground Crew isn't aimed at children and doesn't knowingly collect information from anyone.
